The short film Pathways to food justice by Kadiri & Myra Lee featuring late Detroit Ancestor Lila Cabbil, Myrtle Thompson-Curtis & Dr. Monica White will also be shown. The films will serve as our writing prompts for the evening. Audience members will be encouraged share their writing during the open mic.
Both short films are about 15 minutes. Film screening begins at 6:15pm. Open Mic begins at 7:15pm. Suggested donation is $10. Proceeds will be donated to Kadiri’s fam. No one will be turned away.
