January 2022 Affordable Housing Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA)

HRDAFFORDABLE HOUSING NOTICE OF FUNDING AVAILABILITY The City of Detroit’s Housing and Revitalization Department is pleased to announce the release of the January 2022 Affordable Housing Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA). Affordable housing developers and owners may apply to this NOFA for financial support for projects that will preserve, rehabilitate, and/or develop new affordable housing units in the city.

All developers applying through this NOFA, or who will be seeking support for a 9% LIHTC application, must schedule a pre-application review meeting before February 18th. To schedule a meeting, please email Denise Jackson at jacksonde@detroitmi.gov and upload requested documents on this FORM. A pre-submission meeting will be held on Monday, January 24th at 11:00 AM. Submissions will be accepted through Monday, February 21st. 

The NOFA requires attendance at a compliance information meeting scheduled for Tuesday, February 8th at 10:00 AM. Please use this LINK to register for the virtual meeting.

SPECIAL PROJECTS NOTICE OF FUNDING AVAILABILITY
The City of Detroit’s Housing and Revitalization Department would like to remind developers that the Special Projects Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) is continuing to accept applications on a rolling basis. These funds support commercial and/or mixed-use projects in targeted neighborhoods in the City of Detroit.
