About The Power of One Dedicated Woman
Since 2015, Michigan Community Resources has partnered with activist Dotti Sharp to host The Power of One Dedicated Woman, our annual awards honoring unsung women changing Detroit neighborhoods. This year, our seventh annual awards will look different because of the global pandemic, but our goal of bringing attention to the stories of women community leaders is the same.

Do you know a woman who is changing Detroit neighborhoods? A woman who has stepped up in this pandemic to care for needs of the community? A woman who gives of herself for the greater good? A friend, neighbor or family member who stands out from others while never seeking attention for herself? These women deserve recognition precisely because they did not ask for it. Though not often in the limelight, they are the ones who inspire. Nominate a woman today to be honored through The Power of One Dedicated Woman.
